sometimes your owns against homo/transphobes arent funny enough to warrant consciously reminding me that people hate me for immutable characteristics about myself
I love opening up twitter and it’s just this over and over again

there are three types of pigeon breeds: “just your average french fry thief,” “a little weird but nothing to write home about,” and “what the fuck”
normal dude. just loitering around the city. kinda funky, interesting colorway, but feral pigeons have plenty of variety. not really of any particular note, all things considered
u know, that one’s a bit of an oddity right there. in the realm of weird, yeah, but i can still connect point A to point Z
what the fuck. no, seriously, what the fuck is this. how did you get to this morphology via selective breeding. what led you to choose to continue this at each and every step. what.

We need everyone’s help right now to protect the rainforest and Indigenous People
The Amazon Rainforest is under a massive threat. I know you’ve heard this a million times, but this is different. There is a piece of legislation that will decimate the rights of Indigenous people of Brazil, who have been protecting the rainforest. It’s unfathomably bad. It has majority support. And they’re voting tomorrow.
As reported here, the Bill allows “the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples.”The thing you can do—and I know this sounds overly simple—is sign this petition—and tell your friends to do the same: SIGN HERE.
As reported here, the Bill allows “the Brazilian government to find energy resources, set up military bases, develop strategic roads, and implement commercial agriculture on protected Indigenous tribal lands, without any prior discussion with the affected peoples.”
Again, this bill has majority support. You may be wondering, why will a petition signed by people who don’t live in Brazil make any difference? Because it will give those opposing it political air cover. It will show the world is with them.
But we need a LOT of signatures.
Please do this simple act and spread the word.
ah. elon musk is fully dedicating himself and all of his wealth to trans genocide
hey it’s time to start REALLY educating the people in your life on this stuff. classmates, teachers, coworkers, family- anyone you think might listen to you.
I’m dead serious. they legitimately do not know what’s going on, and if they do, they don’t understand the extent or the urgency of it.
don’t just send them shit to read; talk to them. engage them in conversation & make them think deeply about it. attach your face and your relationship to it. help them come up with their own thoughts, feelings, opinions, and ideas about what’s going on; that’s often enough for them to start talking about it to more people.
give them some shit to do; talk to more people, go to this event, use this website to send a letter to a representative, whatever. something they can do, or at least think about doing, so they’re motivated to keep thinking and taking about it.
even the most vocal Trans Allies- even a lot of trans people!!- just straight up don’t know what’s happening, or how unusual & urgent it is, and they’re simply not going to get that from a website alone.
anyone you can reach. now’s the time.
